TOXIC PARENTS PADA PODCAST

The term toxic parents is being discussed lately because many Indonesian are learning to be better mothers and fathers by avoiding their parent’s mistakes. Toxic who have negative parenting patterns that consistently dominant in children's lives, including abuse, violence, humiliation can cause trauma, mental damage, harm the child long term. Considering young people feel related issue of parents, podcast Curhat Babu tries raise this issue. This study aims find out how early adults accept on episode “Bisakah Kita Mengubah Orang Tua Kita?”. uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews documentation. a reception analysis Stuart Hall's Encoding-Decoding model which divides audience's meaning into three positions: dominant-hegemonic, negotiated, opposition. results showed informants varied, but tended position, where audience accepted as whole states children cannot demand change so control themselves break chain. Life experience, knowledge, religion factors influence various meanings receptions informants.
